Penny Serenade 1941 ★★★★★

Excellent film! I love the use of the music records to signify the different episodes that occur in Cary Grant and Irene Dunne's marriage. I also love how realistic of a relationship they have, with highs and lows and when tragedy occurs, they are able to push through it together, even when it brings them to a breaking point. Superb film. Also have add, Cary Grant's monolgue when he advocates for letting the child stay with him amd Dunne, even though they can't by law, is some of his greatest acting.
